Shopify SPREEAI App Onboarding Guide
A step-by-step walkthrough to get your store up and running with virtual try-ons.
Step 1 — Get Access to the SPREEAI App
To get started, install the SPREEAI app through the Shopify App Store.
- Navigate to https://apps.shopify.com/spreeai-photo-realistic
- Install the app directly from the Shopify App Store
- After installation, find the SPREEAI extension within the left-side menu under Apps
Step 2 — Accept the Agreements
Once the app is installed, open it from your Shopify dashboard. On the welcome screen:
- Review and check I agree to the Privacy Policy
- Review and check I agree to the Terms and Conditions
- Click Get Started
That's it — there are no API keys to copy or paste. When you click Get Started, your store is connected to SPREEAI automatically.
Both agreements are required to continue. The Get Started button stays disabled until both boxes are checked.
Step 3 — Choose Your Plan
After accepting the agreements, select a subscription plan to start your 14-day free trial — you won't be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime.
- Review the available plans and pick the one that fits your catalog
- Click to select a plan
- Confirm the subscription in Shopify on the next screen

After you confirm your subscription, you'll land on the app dashboard. A short welcome tour and a Getting started checklist (Sync garments, Customize Try On button) guide you through the remaining steps.
Step 4 — Sync Your Garments
Connect your store's products to SPREEAI from the Garments tab:
- Click the Sync Products button to open the Add Garments dialog, which lists the garments available in your store
- Check off the specific garments you want to sync, and confirm each garment's type
- Click Sync Garments to submit them for try-on processing
Processing may take some time depending on your catalog size. You can continue with the steps below while you wait.
Once synced, your garments appear in the list on the Garments tab with their current status.
Step 5 — Check Garment Status
On the Garments tab, your products are organized into status tabs:
- All Garments — Every synced product, regardless of status
- Ready — Fully processed and ready to go live
- Processing — Currently being worked on by our team
- Action Required — Needs your attention before it can proceed
Click any tab to view the garments in that status. If the list isn't updating, use the Refresh statuses button.
Step 6 — Set Up Your Storefront Appearance
While garments are processing, customize how the Try-On button looks on your website. Open the Settings tab and find the Storefront Appearance card, then click Customize Try On Button.
This opens your Shopify theme editor, where the SPREEAI Try On Button block is added to your product page. You can style it to match your brand and reposition it by dragging it within the page.
You can come back to adjust the appearance and location of the Try-On button anytime from the Settings tab under the Storefront Appearance card.
Select the SPREEAI Try On Button block to open its settings panel. The following properties can be adjusted to match your brand:

| Button Text | The label shown on the button (default: Try It On) |
| Button Font | Font family used for the button label (e.g. Assistant) |
| Font Size | Size of the button text in pixels (default: 16 px) |
| Background Color | Hex color for the button background (default: #000000) |
| Text Color | Hex color for the button label (default: #FFFFFF) |
| Border Radius | Corner roundness in pixels (default: 8 px) |
| Full Width | Toggle to make the button span the full width of its container |
You can also reposition the block within the product page by dragging it in the theme editor, and remove it entirely with Remove block.
Step 7 — Preview & Go Live
Once garments show a Ready status, you can activate try-ons. On the Garments tab, each Ready product has a Try On Status toggle:
- Enabled — The Try-On button is live on your website for shoppers
- Disabled — The Try-On button is hidden on your website
Switch a garment to Enabled to make its Try-On button visible to shoppers. You can toggle it back to Disabled at any time, or use Refresh statuses to pull the latest updates.
Step 8 — Billing & Analytics
- Plan & Billing — On the Settings tab, the Billing card shows your current plan, usage, and allocations (garments and try-ons used vs. allocated)
- Analytics — The Analytics tab shows how shoppers are engaging with your try-ons, including try-on rate, completion rate, conversion, sessions, and per-product performance
