Requirements & Pricing

What you need before installing the SPREEAI Shopify app, supported product types, image guidelines, and pricing plans.

Prerequisites

Before installing the app, make sure you have:

  • An active Shopify store with admin access
  • A theme based on Online Store 2.0 (required for the Try-On button block — Dawn and most modern themes qualify)
  • At least one product in your catalog that meets the image guidelines below
note

No API keys or manual setup are required. When you install the app and accept the agreements during onboarding, your store is connected to SPREEAI automatically. See the Onboarding Guide to get started.

Supported Product Types

The app is designed for apparel and fashion catalogs. Categories are detected automatically when products are synced.

Best results are achieved on:

  • Tops (shirts, t-shirts, blouses, sweaters)
  • Bottoms (pants, jeans, shorts, skirts)
  • Dresses and jumpsuits
  • Outerwear (jackets, coats)

Product Image Guidelines

For a product to be eligible for try-on processing, its images must meet these minimum requirements:

RequirementValue
Minimum dimensions384 × 512 pixels
Minimum file size250 KB
Formats supportedJPG, PNG
BackgroundClean, uniform background recommended

See the Garment Image Requirements page for the authoritative garment image specification.

tip

Higher-resolution flat-lay or on-model images yield the best try-on quality. Avoid heavily styled lifestyle shots for the primary product image.

Pricing Plans

The SPREEAI Shopify app uses a tiered subscription model. Each plan includes a SKU allotment, a monthly try-on allotment, and a monthly spend cap that limits how much you can be charged in overages before the try-on widget pauses.

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial — you won't be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel anytime.

Starter$49 / month20400$99
Growth$119 / month301,200$219
Scale$349 / month1205,000$599

Overage and Add-ons

  • Try-on overage — Each try-on beyond your monthly quota is billed at $0.08 per try-on.
  • Additional SKUs — Each SKU beyond your quota is billed at $0.10 per SKU.
  • Carry-over SKUs — SKUs already onboarded in a previous month roll over to the next month without incurring new charges.
  • Spend cap — Overage charges are capped at your plan's monthly spend cap. When the cap is reached, the try-on widget pauses on your storefront until you raise the cap or your billing cycle resets. The app warns you with in-app banners as you approach these thresholds — see the FAQ.

What Counts as a SKU?

A SKU is a unique product, or style-color. For example, if a shirt exists in your catalog in green and the same exact style also comes in blue, those two products count as 2 SKUs.

When Are Try-ons Charged?

A try-on is charged when a customer receives a try-on image back — not when they open the Try-On button or upload a photo.
